This year, we reached a special milestone: 30 years of innovation at Ventura Systems! Ventura was founded in 1994 with nothing more than an innovative idea and a lot of ambition. What started small has since grown into a global organisation with over 300 professionals and branches in Bolsward, Germany, USA, Hong Kong and Australia.
To celebrate, we went on a global Innovation Tour, where we presented our latest developments in urban transport door systems. From Germany, Japan and Switzerland in spring to Australia, Germany, Spain, Singapore and the UK later in the year, we shared our passion for innovation with customers, partners and industry peers during this tour.
Tour highlights:
- Presentation of our latest innovations: We gave an exclusive look at the technologies shaping the future of urban transport.
- Live demonstrations: Our door systems in action, explaining how they contribute to safety, reliability and efficiency.
- Inspiring talks: Networking moments with experts and industry leaders.
- Insight into our work process: Visitors got a behind-the-scenes look at our design and engineering process.
The Innovation Tour was not only an opportunity to showcase what we stand for as a company, but also a moment to learn, connect and celebrate the future of mobility together.
Read more about the highlights of each exhibition below and discover how we are making a difference in urban transport together.
Mobility Move - Berlin
We look back on a successful first edition of Mobility Move, formerly known as ElekBu. It is one of the largest conferences and expo for public transport by road in Germany. The fair is organised by ‘Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen’ or VDV.
Ventura attends this event every year and this edition is fully booked for 1,400 public transport specialists with an expo space featuring 90 exhibitors and 20 electric vehicles.
The atmosphere at the fair was very positive and progressive. It was an excellent opportunity for us to talk to the market, share knowledge and showcase our latest innovations in door systems.
Bustech Forum - Osaka, Japan
We attended the Bustech Forum in Osaka in May, a fantastic networking opportunity, with a wide range of electric buses to test, all in a beautiful location. We were pleased to showcase our innovative door systems on the vehicles tested during the event.
Highlights included EV Motors Japan’s 7-metre EV bus equipped with two Ventura Rapid Sliding door systems and Hankyu Bus’ 10.5-metre EV bus equipped with our Inward Gliding and Plug Sliding door systems.
Bus 24 - Thun, Zwitserland
The VöV bus conference, which takes place every two years, was organised this year in June by the KTBB under the title BUS 24.
The event consists of two main parts: a trade conference with presentations on current topics and issues in the public transport and bus industry and an exhibition where the latest buses, parts, services and equipment are presented to experts and decision-makers in public road transport.
Our colleagues were present during the fair to welcome visitors and present our products on our stand. It was great to see so many vehicles with our door systems present.
BIC Bus & Coach show - Brisbane
On 17 and 18 September, the National Bus and Coach Show took place at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, organised by the Bus Industry Confederation. Ventura Systems was present with a stand and we look back on two successful days full of inspiration and innovation.
InnoTrans - Berlin
From 24 to 27 September, we participated in the Bus Display at InnoTrans, the meeting place for manufacturers, suppliers and buyers from the public transport sector.
Our stand was a busy venue where we presented our latest innovations in door systems. Together, the German and Dutch colleagues made it a success.
FIAA - Madrid
From 22 to 25 October, we attended FIAA in Madrid, the place where the bus and coach industry meets with passenger transport companies.
A particular highlight was our collaboration with Consman Service and Mobility. They were present to share insights on their after-sales support for our door systems. Together with our colleagues, they had inspiring conversations with visitors about how we can contribute to smarter urban mobility.
SITCE - Singapore
We look back with pride on our participation in SITCE. As a company with a strong local presence and years of experience in this market, we had valuable discussions about the challenges and innovations shaping public transport in the region.
SITCE provided the ideal platform to present our reliable door systems. Interest in our solutions was high, and we are grateful for all the enthusiastic responses we received.
Euro Bus Expo - Birmingham
Euro Bus Expo was a great success! At our stand, we presented our innovative Slim Line door leaf concept and the improved Inward Gliding door system with lift function, supported by Transport Door Solutions Ltd.
The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to show how our solutions simplify maintenance, reduce downtime and optimise fleet management.
CUTA Transit Show - Toronto
On 19 November, we attended the CUTA Transit Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Whether they were OEMs, operators or public transport enthusiasts, everyone had the chance to learn more about how our entrance solutions are shaping the future of urban mobility. The positive response and inspiring conversations made this event a success for us.
It has been an exciting year at Ventura Systems, filled with meaningful connections, inspiring exchanges, and innovations. While 2024 kept us busy with trade shows, global events, and our Innovation Tour, we are proud to have connected with so many industry partners and shared our passion for shaping the future of urban mobility.
As we celebrate 30 years of innovation, we remain committed to pushing boundaries, fostering collaboration, and delivering solutions that set new standards in safety, reliability and innovation. With the support of our dedicated team and trusted partners, we look forward to another year of progress and possibilities.
Thank you for being part of our story.
